Hey travel fam! My partner and I are planning a trip, and we want to do 2-3 weeks in Turkey+Georgia.

Initially we planned to fly into and out of Istanbul and take internal flights to go to cappadocia, kusadasi and then tbilisi (for georgia).

But just now we decided to change the plan and make our way towards Georgia by sailing the coastline.

I see a lot of afforadable options for gulet cruises in the mediterannean sea coast (Bodrum etc) but none for Black Sea coast. We need to be sailing the north coastline to end up close to Georgia.

Does anyone here have an inside track on black sea cruises that aren't very expensive? (Looking for an 6-10 day cruise in a budget of around $700 per person)

(Photo of me at Fairy Chimneys, Cappadocia, for attention 😇)

  1. Try with Kartveli Tours. Maybe they have some connections. We did a Kazbegi trip with them and they were a super professional and helpful agency.

  2. When we went to Trabzon on the black sea coast, and wanted to visit the Sumela Monastery, the local travel agent there told us that it’s mostly visited by ppl on cruises who stop here for a day. I can forward you their contact. There was Mr. Hussam last year, speaks English well. Hope he’s able to help you.
Wese lots of luxury buses leave Trabzon for Georgia too.

  3. Here’s a little nugget of info: You can’t enter Georgia by sea or by land unless you have Georgian sticker visa, which can only be obtained in Tehran. For visa free access you need to fly.
