Hi Everyone!

So here I am sharing some pictures and videos of the beautiful #Swat/#KalamValley, #KPK, #Pakistan. Me and my wife had been planning to visit the northern areas of #Pakistan and finally we had a chance, so we decided to visit #Swat/#kalamValley. And we must say this was just amazing. An 8 hour drive from #Lahore to #Mingora city where we stayed for a night and visited House of Wali-e-Swat/Ruler of Swat the place is also called White palace and is not really amazing but fine if you want to see the history of their former ruler.

Next day it was a 3 hour drive from #Mingora to #Miandam which was also a nice place to visit. The view of the valley was eye catching and you would like to just sit and observe the beautiful view of the valley.

From there we continued toward #KalamValley which was again a 5 hour drive as the roads are under construction. After reaching #KalamValley we had dinner at a local restaurant. The next day we had to book a land cruiser to visit the main attractions the #MahodandLake because the roads are too rough for a in-experienced driver. It was almost 5 hour drive and the place is worth a visit. Its filler with glacier water and cold enough to freeze you in July. Along the way there are some nice spots to stop by and take some pictures (few attached with the post)

All of it was just natural beauty. You can see the glaciers, the water falls and the beautiful lake travelling along the way to the Lake People there were friendly and cooperative and love to have visitors. Place is now peaceful and you will find fresh fruits and vegetables everywhere along the way from #Mingora to #MahodandLake. The most amazing thing about this whole journey was that the whole way from #Mingora to #Kalam and then #MahodandLake, it was all along the #RiverSwat.

Hope you like the pictures and its a must go place at least once if you haven't visited before.

  1. Yes you can travel by car but almost a 35km patch is rough… hopefully in a few months the roads will be in a better shape. But yes you can go by car. We had a Cultus VXL 2018 and made it fine upto Kalam.
