So my husband and I suddenly decided two weeks back to go on a vacation with our 2 month old daughter and wanted a nice relaxing place. We ended up going to Koh Samui, Thailand for a week and it was the best decision ever! The weather was perfect at this time of the year with light rain and pleasant breeze in the evenings. Since we wanted to stay by the beach in a cabin/hut instead of at a hotel, we chose Chaweng Resort and booked their beachfront room. The best thing was that the beds were super comfortable and their AC worked perfectly 😛 also there was an attached guest room with the main room where the baby’s crib and small bed were which turned out pretty handy. The view from our room was amazing and the outside seating area with beach chairs was too good. The downsides of this place were slow WiFi (for streaming videos if you plan to watch movies online as the cable had mostly Thai channels) and breakfast wasn’t good (we ended up having breakfast at the resort only 2 out of 7 days despite paying for it). Also there are too many mosquitoes everywhere but they aren’t harmful so it’s just a little annoying 😛
The shopping area is just outside the resort and it’s a nice walk with amazing eateries close by. We rented a scooter (on daily basis) to explore the island which is definitely the best way to experience Koh Samui other than walking around! Also since the resort is right on the beach, they have Jet Skiing and Parasailing etc available right there so you don’t have to go anyplace else. We visited all the famous tourist spots and loved them all. Within a week we were able to enjoy all of Koh Samui properly 😍
Also for those who plan to go on a fancy dinner while there, go to Cliff Bar and Grill ❤️ we went there and ordered their Seafood Platter for 2 along with Chocolate Soufflé for dessert and I have to say that every penny of that $200 dinner was worth it with the crabs, lobster, calamari, fish and everything else being absolutely delicious 😊
Posted below are pictures of the resort. Enjoy!
