Some one from this group suggested us to consider South Africa as a destination for our honeymoon. So boom, we were here for two weeks and it was amazing! We loved this beautiful country and are willing to share our detailed itinerary with anyone interested. Here's how we spent our time:
– Johannesburg (2.5 days – 1.5 days during arrival, 1 day before departure)
– Hazyview (near Kruger National Park where you can see the Big5) (4.5 days) 🦏🐆🐃🐘🦁
– Cape Town (6.5 days) 🌊🏖🐧

We drove from JNB to Hazyview via some beautiful Panorama Routes and did some wonderful Sightseeing of some natural wonders in the area. We did a full day safari at KNP and saw 4 out of 5 of the Big5 (missed the rhino by a whisker) and we flew by local cheap air from JNB to Cape Town where we saw penguins, the end of Africa, loads of cool beaches, beautiful sunsets, etc. We also spent a day in Robben Island where we saw the cell of Nelson Mandela where he spent 18 out of 27 years in prison. SA is definitely a destination worth considering!

  2. Two places are MUST if you’re in South Africa, one is called route 62 it has got the most scenic ostrich and wine farms all the way from Karoo desert to Cape, and then there is something called the garden route, there are small towns every 40-50 km facing the ocean, it is one of the most beautiful part on planet, town of knysna, wilderness, george, moselbay are all so so so beautiful

  3. and if you could get multiple visa for south africa, u can go to Lesotho, a small country within south africa, also known as mountain kingdom, SA is quite like any western country, but as soon u would enter in Lesotho you would have a true feelings of Africa, huts, lapa, ponies, horses, life quite laidback

  4. When it’s summer in Pakistan is extremely cold in South Africa, Drakensburg mountain and central SA often gets thick layer of snow in June

  5. Did a search on SA and came across this post. Need to plan a trip to SA in July with a 4 year old. Should not be too hectic considering the company of a toddler. We’d ideally want to be there for 12-14 days.
