I recently went to Quetta & Ziarat in the last week of January, co-leading a group with Alpas Travels. I must say that Ziarat is very under rated. For Karachiites it's the best and closest possible place to experience snowy weather during winters. One can easily go to Ziarat by road from Karachi as the road conditions throughout are pretty great. The only problem I believe Ziarat has is the lack of facilities, lack of proper guest house/hotels/restaurants. For now, I would recommend a day tour to Ziarat and come back to Quetta for the night stay. Ziarat is only 3 hours drive from Quetta city.
In Ziarat, you can visit the famous Quaid-e-Azam Residency, prospect point, zero point and a few waterfalls/chashmas nearby.
Have you been to Ziarat before? How was your experience there? Please share if you discovered any cool spots to chill there
